How can a Stanford student find out about such events beforehand?

Check events.stanford.edu. She is speaking tonight at MemChu. Last night's events were by invite only.

Sorry, I have only recently become a grad student here. "By invite only" - does it mean that my tuition payments won't guarantee that I can be part of any event at Stanford that I want? If so, how is that fair?

sergei read the freakin article. Jesus.
if they had only room for 40, of course they had to have some kind of selection process. And she's speaking today anyways. Stop whining.

How do I get more information about this event?

Jeff and "sergei read the freakin article", I appreciate you both addressing Sergei before I read these postings. Sergei, your tuition has nothing to do with being invited to those closed events; they were for targeted audiences. Both Sergei and Blake, please e-mail nasun@stanford.edu with your questions. Thanks.
