This is heartbreaking. Many places in the US are horrible, scary and dangerous. Our country should spend money on helping everyone in it to have what they need to live healthy, productive lives. That should prevent much of this (what appears to be) senseless violence that hurts so many people. Perhaps we should turn our focus away from helping other parts of the world until the US is a better place to live.

As a parent of a low income student, this is my worst nightmare. After all the hard work and sacrifice, to lose everything. Stanford really is a life saving opportunity for people coming from places and situations like this one, if you can survive long enough to get there.

Shaw was shot by an illegal alien gang member who was released from jail less than 24 hours before the shooting. Check the story on any major media outlet. Our country could have prevented this by controling the border and deporting criminal illegal aliens.

This is what Sanctuary City status is doing to "help" illegal aliens. It tells everyone to "look the other way", even when the perpetrator is leaving jail after 4-months for a weapons conviction.
