Based on your tenure at Stanford Coach Johnson, the "law of averages" predicts we are due to start making free throws and to lose the next 7 games.

When teaching my son, Trent, "Physical Education" at Boise State we focused on the intricacies of the law of averages during the years 1974-1977. When he finally became a senior in 1978, I transitioned into teaching him Inspiration and he was voted "Most Inspirational Player." I have no hesitation in saying he was the best student I've ever had and rightfully deserved the BS he earned 9 years after starting as a freshman.

I'm also quite proud of my grandson Mitch and his ability to create off the dribble, take care of the ball, hit clutch free throws, and manage the shot clock at the end of the game. I knew a "cerebral" player with perfect shooting form like him would succeed at Stanford.

Thanks to the law of averages, Stanford will last at most 2 games in the NCAA Tournament. They will either have a good game and then a bad one, or a bad one (and then will be out of the tourney before they can have a good one, unless that good one comes next year).
