Ooopps! Believe "irregardless" conflates "regardless" with "irrespective." I should know. The first course I taught as a graduate student I made the same semantic error. Thanks for the otherwise excellent article.

Ditto, Thomas Kowall. Also, let it be known that "conversate" and "orientate" are not true words. Rather, it should be "converse" and "orient". I've heard those words around campus, too. Go Cardinals!

Beat me to it with "irregardless". I also thought it was "Lasuen". At least that was the name of the street when dinosaurs still roamed.
