You've got to be joking...I read this article with serious interest until I read about the number of thefts that have occurred. This isn't stereo equipment that you can just sell on the street! Well, I suppose you CAN sell it on the black market, but whoever took this stuff knew what they were dealing with. Now the university (or government) must cough up funds to replace this stuff. Facilities needs to get their act together and come up with effective security measures. I guess when it's not yours, you don't care if it gets stolen. What a waste.

I'm surprised that thieves don't flock to Stanford considering the fact that security in most of our buildings is nonexistent.
