So he was pissed off that the team was playing poorly...so what? He was right.

Harbaugh should take the next step and recommend that Sherman be expelled from the University. Behaving in such a way is a clear violation of the Fundamental Standard.

Hah, I agree completely. Being emotional or upset over something is clearly a violation of the Fundamental Standard. The university takes things like arm-raising and yelling very seriously and should look into it. Also, grimacing, frowning, and furrowed brows are cause for at least probation. Hurrah!

What a great excuse for another loss! Suspend your Best WR and frame it as a sign of team discipline in the Harbaugh-era. This should completely distract the fans from another blow-out loss....although the Cardinal is damn good on the road. 2 full seasons without a Pac10 win at home is quite a feat!

The Fundamental Standard is as follows:
Students at Stanford are expected to show both within and without the University such respect for order, morality, personal honor and the rights of others as is demanded of good citizens. Failure to do this will be sufficient cause for removal from the University.
I think Ricky is spot-on, here. If Sherman really was "screaming at teammates and coaches on the sideline" then he has violated the rights of his teammates to a fundamental degree of respect. Expulsion? Not a half-bad idea.

Expel him? Good thing you guys don't get better views into the daily goings-on of athletic teams, not to mention dormitories and housing where normal students reside. If getting mad and saying mean, horrible things are grounds for expulsion, Stanford would lose half its student body by the end of the quarter. But fine if the coach wants to suspend him.

i dont think no such disipline should be taken upon richard sherman i think missing a game is good enough for richard to realize gettin upset like that isnt worth it. but who can blame him anybody who has been in the heat of the battle as richard would understand how it is. i kno sherman didnt really mean to take it that far but things happen being expelled would be going way to far

i myself have been in the same place as my cousin richard i was also suspended but after things went by my head coach came to me and actually apologized to me because he told me hisself he has been there before so you cant fault sherman for wanting to when and wanting to help his team in everyway. and just because he is my cousin im not taking up for him i just kno how it is.
