I feel your pain. I'm a Sox fan and believe me, we're pulling for you. Your time will come.
Also, I've got to comment on something you said about our latest championship: sure, 2007 wasn't the same as 2004. Nothing could ever replace that year. This time around, however, was different, and it was every bit as satisfying. Less magical, yes, but we are a different team now. We're no longer the Yankees-lite (that was us the past few years), we are the team of the 21st Century. This is a team that oozes confidence from its pores. And the recognition on the part of the Nation that we can go out there every year with a chance to win makes it all worth it. If we're supposed to be the Yankees lite, then why do we have 2 championships in the last 4 years and they have zero? I hope most people recall that in 1998, it was neither the Yanks nor the Sox who held the title of biggest spenders in baseball. It was the Orioles.

I know exactly what your talking about my friend. The Cubs were swept,by a team that was swept, by a team that was swept...oh Cubbies, only you. But Theres one thing we got over Redsox,Yankees, cardinals etc,we got our hope that one day cubs will win it all.The more we wait the better that day will be,except i'm kinda done waiting. I think 100 years is long enough.
