I don't see how this works. I went to Ciao many times and saw the little sign put on the well about biodegradable service, but the staffs working there never explain or ask me if I want biodegradable service. Seems they expect people volunteering tell them "I want biodegradable service". If Ciao really care about environment, as least please ask your customers "paper or plastic?"
