What is considered "a living wage" for the area? And who decides what it will be? And who says anyone is entitled to live in Palo Alto (or a similarly expensive area) just because they work at Stanford? I commute a long ways myself and think that if someone doesn't like what they're getting paid, then they should find a new job. This whole "living wage" fight sounds like nothing more than a way for students to pat themselves on the back and feel morally superior.

What are the present wages that are being paid, and what are the (so called) living wages that should be paid?
What happened to the Union?
