Stanford post-doctorate candidate Thomas Snyder won his second consecutive Sudoku World Championship on April 16 in Goa, India.
Snyder, who is researching genetic sequencing at Stanford, took home the top prize after two straight days of competition in he which he faced off against opponents from more than 30 countries. Snyder came into the competition ranked second behind Jakub Ondrousek of the Czech Republic, but won the highest number of points after seven rounds of individual play.
