This report covers a selection of crimes from Oct. 9 through Oct. 16, as reported in the Stanford Department of Public Safety’s Public Bulletin.

Tuesday, Oct. 9

It was reported that a high-end TV had been stolen from Durand over the summer.

At roughly 10 a.m., an unattended computer bag containing a laptop and other computer equipment was stolen from Cardenal’s wing of the FloMo dining hall.

Thursday, Oct. 11

Between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., a verbal dispute over money occurred at 199 Campus Drive.

A suspicious package was found in the Menlo Park Police Department’s post office at 2:50 p.m. The explosive detection canine sniffed the package and did not indicate that it contained explosives. The scene was rendered safe.

Friday, Oct. 12

At 1 a.m., two men were cited and released for prowling near Theta Delta Chi.

Unknown suspects took laptops and iPods from Toyon between 7:20 p.m. and 10 p.m. They may have placed them in a backpack that was also stolen.

A wallet was stolen from Bob during a party, between 11:30 p.m. and 2 a.m.

Saturday, Oct. 13

At 3:20 p.m., a man who suffers from Alzheimer’s became separated from his companion at Stanford Stadium. He was located five hours later at Kimball.

An unknown person pushed a female at the intersection of Junipero Serra and Campus Drive West at 10:10 p.m. Although she suffered cuts and abrasions from the fall, she refused medical attention.

During the night, someone vandalized a vehicle by throwing a pumpkin at its fender.

A fire extinguisher was discharged during a house party at Phi Sig.

Cutlery tools were taken from Branner Dining Hall between 1 p.m. and 9 a.m. the following morning.

Sunday, Oct. 14

At 1:45 p.m., a suspect was arrested for burglary at 1018 Campus Drive and taken to the main jail.

Monday, Oct 15

Over the previous weekend, an outside whiteboard at the Pepper Tree House was vandalized.

Tuesday, Oct. 16

It was reported that several different suspects have written and scratched graffiti on the men’s restroom walls located behind building 320.

Additionally, between Oct. 9 and Oct. 16, nine bikes were reported stolen, two people were arrested for public intoxication and there was one arrest for driving under the influence.
