Wrestling squad powers forward

Cardinal pair named All-Americans following NCAAs

SPORTS| The NCAA Championship Tournament may not have gone perfectly for Stanford wrestling, but the squad nevertheless scrapped and fought its way to a feat unmatched since 1967, as a pair of Cardinal wrestlers returned from the season’s greatest challenge with Top-Eight finishes and All-American honors.

Swimming takes second at NCAAs

SPORTS| The Stanford men’s swimming and diving team took second place at the NCAA Swim and Dive Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. on March 17, finishing with a total of 397 points. Over the course of the competition, the Cardinal broke a remarkable 13 records.

Cardinal swept out of Sunken

SPORTS| The Stanford baseball squad started its Pacific-10 Conference season off on the wrong foot, dropping three straight at home this weekend to UCLA. It was the first time in nearly a decade that a visiting team swept a series at Sunken Diamond, with Arizona State last accomplishing the feat, April 11-13, 1997.

Injuries hampering men’s tennis squad

SPORTS| Within a span of six days over spring break, the Stanford men’s tennis team went 1-3. While the team only picked up one “W” during the entire week, there was one thing that remained consistent: the nagging injuries and illnesses that continue to plague the Cardinal.
