On Friday evening, the Stanford women’s water polo team picked up its 20th consecutive win in exciting fashion, outscoring rival California 3-1 in the final period of play to take a 10-8 decision.

After dropping its fourth straight Pacific-10 Conference series, the Stanford baseball team can only take solace in the fact that it has an immediate chance to rebound. And if the Cardinal wants any shot at building momentum for a late-season run, the team needs to start soon.

Most tennis matches don’t take eight hours to complete. But due to treacherous weather conditions, that’s how long it took for the Stanford women’s tennis team to defeat their rivals from California, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon.

The Stanford men’s golf team was locked in battle yesterday for the first rounds of the Pacific-10 Conference Championships, coming in third after day one. Leading the tournament thus far is Southern California, which fired its way through 36 holes for an unprecedented, 20-under-par 700.

The No. 16 Stanford softball team returns to action tonight in a non-conference matchup against Bay Area foe San Jose State. The Cardinal is coming off a 6-4 upset over No. 12 UCLA and a split with No. 13 Washington last weekend.
Card shoots past cross-Bay rivals

Stanford women’s lacrosse clinched an 11-8 victory over California last Saturday. As the final home game of the season, it was an emotional victory for the Cardinal, with seniors Liz Piselli, Michelle DeChant, Bryanne Gilkinson and Rachel Dyke playing for the last time at Maloney Field.
