Peer academic advising needs rethinking

OPINIONS| Freshmen in the class of 2009 will be greeted by Peer Mentors, or PMs, instead of Peer Advising Assistants, or PAAs. The new Peer Mentor position combines the responsibilities previously held by PAAs and Orientation Volunteers, eliminating the need for two large groups of volunteers to do perform largely similar tasks over the course of freshman orientation.
